This Privacy Policy explains how CustomChartTrader collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you visit the website, contact us, purchase or request access, use license activation features, download the NinjaTrader 8 package, or interact with related support and account services.

In this policy, "CustomChartTrader," "we," "us," and "our" refer to Edge Crafter. "You" means a website visitor, prospective customer, customer, license holder, or support requester.

1. Information We Collect

When you visit the website, our hosting, security, and infrastructure providers may process technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring page, pages visited, approximate location, request timestamps, error logs, and security logs.

If you contact us, request help, report a bug, ask a pre-sale question, or submit a support request, we may collect your name, email address, message content, product version, masked license key, NinjaTrader 8 version, Windows version, screenshots, logs, and any other information you choose to provide.

When checkout opens, payments are expected to be handled through Stripe. We do not intend to collect or store full credit card numbers ourselves.

2. License Activation and Machine Binding

CustomChartTrader uses a license activation system to confirm that a license key is valid and to reduce unauthorized key sharing.

When the NinjaTrader 8 client activates or verifies a license, the client may send a license key, machine identifier or hashed workstation fingerprint, product version, activation timestamp, license status request, or deauthorization request.

The machine identifier is used for license activation, license transfer, fraud prevention, and support. It is not intended to collect your brokerage login, full trading history, broker account credentials, or full computer contents.

3. Account Portal and Downloads

If a customer account portal or download area is added, we may process login email address, session information, license status, download eligibility, downloaded package version, download timestamp, and support or account actions.

Future downloads are planned to use gated file delivery, potentially through Cloudflare R2 or related Cloudflare services. Download requests may create infrastructure logs such as IP address, user agent, file requested, and timestamp.

4. Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect

  • Brokerage passwords
  • Full payment card numbers
  • Social Security numbers or national ID numbers
  • Full trading account statements
  • Complete trading history
  • Live order flow sent to your broker
  • Children's information

5. How We Use Information

  • Operate and secure the website.
  • Respond to questions and support requests.
  • Process purchases when checkout opens.
  • Generate, validate, activate, and manage license keys.
  • Bind a license to a machine or release a machine binding.
  • Deliver downloads and updates.
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized sharing, and security incidents.
  • Troubleshoot website, activation, and product issues.
  • Comply with applicable laws and enforce our agreements.

6. Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies

The website may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for security, routing, authentication, account sessions, checkout, or customer portal access.

8. Data Retention and Security

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required or allowed by law.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.

No website, API, database, or internet transmission is perfectly secure. You are responsible for protecting your license key, email account, workstation, NinjaTrader installation, and brokerage credentials.

9. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, a copy of certain information, objection or restriction of certain processing, withdrawal of consent, opt-out rights, or appeal rights.
