Questions
What traders usually ask before launch
Straight answers on what CustomChartTrader does today, what's still on the roadmap, and exactly what you get when you buy.
Compatibility
Is CustomChartTrader for NinjaTrader only?
Yes. CustomChartTrader is built for NinjaTrader 8 desktop only. It is not a TradingView, MetaTrader, Tradovate Web, or broker-platform add-on.
How is this different from NinjaTrader's built-in Chart Trader?
NinjaTrader Chart Trader is the built-in order-entry surface. CustomChartTrader is an independent Strategy panel focused on risk-first workflow: position sizing from risk, R:R preview, entry/stop/target planning, and common exit controls kept beside the chart.
Is this an indicator or a strategy?
It runs as a NinjaTrader 8 Strategy. That lets the panel combine chart-side UI, order controls, account context, and chart rendering inside the NinjaTrader workflow.
Does it include NinjaTrader, market data, or broker access?
No. You need your own NinjaTrader 8 installation, broker/data connection, account permissions, and market data subscriptions.
Product behavior
What is CustomChartTrader built to do?
It is built to help plan and manage the order workflow from the chart: size the position, preview entry/stop/target levels, check R:R, submit orders, and use common exit controls.
Does it place live orders?
Yes, when used on a live account with order controls enabled, the tool can be part of live order-entry workflow. You are responsible for account selection, order type, quantity, stop, target, instrument, and live/sim mode.
Should I test in simulation first?
Yes. Test installation, activation, order behavior, stop/target preview, and exit controls in simulation before using live capital.
Included and planned
What is included first?
At launch, CustomChartTrader includes risk-based position sizing, R:R preview, stop/target planning, close partial, break even, flatten, cancel, and license activation.
Are ATM templates included?
ATM planning is on the roadmap. It should be treated as planned until the implementation is complete and tested.
Are advanced trailing stops included?
Advanced trailing stop features are planned later. They are not part of the launch offer unless the included-feature list is updated.
Purchase and license
Is this a subscription?
No. The first offer is planned as a one-time payment.
Is there a free version?
No free tier is planned for the first public offer unless the launch decision is revised.
How many machines can I activate?
Activate on 1 machine at a time The machine rule must be shown before checkout opens.
Can I move the license to a new machine?
Move to a new machine anytime by deauthorizing the old one If machine transfer is included, the process and any limits will be published before checkout opens.
Purchase, download, and support
What happens after purchase?
You should receive a receipt, license key, download link or customer access instructions, installation guide, and activation steps.
Where will updates be downloaded?
Download and update access will be described in the final license and delivery terms.
How will support work?
Support covers installation, activation, download access, known product issues, and documented product behavior. It does not include trading advice, broker support, prop firm rule interpretation, or emergency live-trade help.
Risk
Does CustomChartTrader guarantee better trades?
No. It is workflow software, not a signal service or profit system. Trading involves risk, and you are responsible for every trade.
Is this financial advice?
No. Website copy, documentation, screenshots, examples, videos, and support replies are product information only.
Focused on order-entry control, not profit promises.
